How does Proof of Stake work?

Stake Tokens

Validators lock up AURA tokens as a security deposit. The minimum stake is 1,000 AURA. This ensures validators have skin in the game.

Produce Blocks

Validators take turns proposing new blocks. The chance of being selected is weighted by stake amount and reputation score.

Earn Rewards

Honest validators earn AURA rewards for each block. Dishonest behavior results in slashing — losing part of their staked tokens.
